doterra oils scam

doTERRA Review – Should you be in the business of oil?

It is hard to believe that a good smelling oil on your skin can cure insomnia, depression, backaches, stress and so much more.

Most medicines we consume are based on natural elements found in plants so it is not far-fetched that oils have a positive health effect.

When I came across an oil that heals all, it sparked my interest. I decided to do a research on doTerra that has made a business selling oils that claim to heal all ailments.

Before I go on I need to point out that I am not an affiliate or distributor of doTerra products. I am writing this to give an honest review so that you can decide whether this company is worth investing in or not. I will discuss the health claims and also the business opportunity side.

doTerra was launched in the spring of 2008. The founders of the company are people from two different backgrounds when it comes to business (healthcare and business).

The main goal of the company is to offer an alternative path to health and wellness through the power of their essential oils.

They claim that their oils can heal and cure many ailments. The oils are sold in the United States, Canada, Australia and many other countries including Central America.

A sign-up fee of $35 is required to join as an “independent doTERRA product consultant” to make money with doTERRA.

There is a 25% commission on retail sales of the doTERRA products and the consultants also earn commissions form the people they recruit.

The home business opportunity has sections that offer bonuses. They are fast bonuses which are paid weekly, the power of 3 team bonus which is paid monthly and there is also preferred member sponsor bonus of which 25% can be earned.

They have different oils which include:

  • Lavender
  • Peppermint
  • Lemon,
  • and many more.

Each oil is aimed at different ailments. For example, if you have insomnia there is an oil that can treat that, if you have a cough or any chronic condition there is an oil that can treat that.

There is potential to make money and it all depends on the time and work you put into selling the product. When the prices of doTerra essential oils and other essential oils of reputable brands are compared the price range is quite astonishing. doTERRA essential oils are 3-10 times higher than other brands depending on the specific oil.

This can be a problem when selling the products as buyers might not want to buy high priced oils when they are cheaper ones which they feel might be more effective. If you are a badass seller with an extroverted personality and you don’t care about the products you are selling with persistence you can earn some money selling essential oils.

Form the information and reviews from people I don’t think doTERRA is a scam. Some people claim that they have had positive results from using the oils.

Personally I would not like to sell health and wellness products just because I don’t like people complaining to me if they have allergic reactions from using any of the products.
