Introduction to Source Wave

What is Source Wave? Source Wave is an online university that will teach people how to use search engine optimization. SEO is the process of becoming a website or hit with keywords to become ranked on any major search engine such as Google, Yahoo, or Bing. From there, Source Wave will further teach you how to create income from your ranked website.

All of this can be learned through the videos Source Wave has to offer their members. The overall goal is to teach SEO marketing to the most basic users who are just getting started, all the way to experts who just need a little refining on some techniques.

Source Wave does not have their own platform, so you will need to have your own website to put the learning experience to full effect. If you are just getting started, you may want to watch some videos before you decide to purchase your own domain to begin.

The Pros and Cons of Source Wave

I will keep the pros and cons to a list. You can read what I see as a pro and a con on Source Wave.

  • 10-day money back guarantee
  • A ton of content to learn from
  • Link management strategies
  • Keyword search strategies
  • Complete overview of Google Penalties
  • The instructions are easy to follow
  • Lots of updates
  • Facebook support group
  • guidelines of competing with competition

  • No free trial
  • Use of Private Blog Networks (PBN’s)
  • Not truly for beginners
  • You will most likely be overwhelmed
  • Technique issues with tools
  • Grey Hat SEO tactics

As I made this review, I would have liked to add more cons to match the number of pros, but this is all I had to say that was not up to my standards. Some of the cons are not truly a bad thing, but there is always better ways to go about starting your SEO business.

Who is Source Wave For

Source Wave is for anyone who is interested in learning how to SEO market and start a career online. From the beginner user, all the way to expert you will find quality content and learning materials.

Source Wave for beginners is going to be a hard place to start. There is no platform for hosting or a free site. For a beginner, these things should be offered to help them along the process. There is also no live help and for a beginner that is essential for the learning. You may miss something in a video lesson by accident and will have to rewatch the video in entirety to find what you missed. A live help service would take care of most small issues for beginners. If you are a beginner and want a place to learn, stay tuned and ill tell you where to go.

Source Wave is an excellent place for people who are a few steps ahead of beginners. You will already know how to use WordPress and some of the simple techniques to starting a Website. People with some skill level with website design will benefit very well from Source Wave and make a good amount of money doing it.

Learning with Source Wave

Source Wave offers many different ways to learning online with them. All of these are very useful and some of them are for free on youtube.

Source Wave will constantly run webinars for their university members to learn from. The webinars are a great step by step learning tool. There is also a ton of video lesson series for content. The video lessons are engaging and you will stand to learn a lot from this.

There is also a facebook support group that you can post questions too. The only downfall is there is no life help within the university. It would be very useful to have a live chat or a section with other members online, or even a place to engage the owners of the site directly with your questions.

Price of Source Wave

There are free videos to learn from on youtube. I would highly recommend this to anyone before joining. You will need to consider that you will also have to pay and register your own domain name if you are ready to join.

The monthly membership is $47 and that is not overly expensive. A yearly subscription with a price break would be nice for serious users.

I always tend to try or read reviews before I buy a product. Try it before you buy it.

Final Opinion on Source Wave

For someone who is new to online marketing, I think there is a better option out there and that is Wealthy Affiliate(Read my Review here). Some of the tools needed as a beginner are not offered at Source Wave and can very well overwhelm any new- comer.

For those of you with some degree of knowledge, this is the place to be. You will be learning and following experts. You can take your online business to much more profitable place.

If you would like to join Source wave, you can join here.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to leave me a comment below. Also, if you just want to say hello you can do that also.

  1. I actually first started online with source wave. I didnt have much knowledge as i was new to SEO. I found their system to be pretty complex as a beginner. Thats why i switched to WA. Now that i have more knowledge i would go back. But i dont need to since WA offers everything.
This is a nice review spot on!

  2. The big thing I didn’t like was not having live support with source wave. There was times I was lost and couldn’t get my SEO pack working. I decided to leave but the training is thorough. I just needed more to get started

    1. Yeah, I think I know what you are saying. When something goes wrong you want to work to fix it or correct it right away not have to wait around. Thats the nice thing about WA theres a live chat for instant questions, sitesupport, and a ton of videos and trainings.

  3. So I run my own makeup blog and did not start with one of these online companies. It was a long hard road in the beginning. If I had to start over again would you say start with source wave or wealthy affiliate?

    1. Heather, I personally think for someone starting, that wealthy affiliate would be the best option. I’m sure you had questions when you first started. With WA you can get your questions answered almost immediately and you can get feedback from the entire community on your posts. Source Wave is good to learn what you are doing. The support on WA is a great place to start and will help you grow online a lot quicker.

  4. Hi there,

Source Wave seems very promising, but I was a bit concerned with the grey hat SEO tactics. What are them?

I am not a beginner so I think this program might suit me. It’s a shame that they don’t provide a free trial, but I guess the money back guarantee will give me a piece of mind.

Thaks for sharing! I’ll give it a try..

    All the best

    1. Stefan,

Gray hat SEO is legal but some in the business view it as unethical techniques of getting your website ranked in search engines. Gray hat could soon become black hat SEO and be illegal techniques. But, for now it is still legal. A free trial would truly but the best. But, Source Wave stands by the money back guarantee so I think you will enjoy their program.

  5. This is the first time I have heard of Source Wave and it seems like a good company but mainly for more experienced individuals in the world of SEO. I am a newbie in this type of business and I can follow instructions pretty well but I would have a hard time paying for something if I don’t have a lot of knowledge about it. I feel like if they offered a free trial to members to get their feet wet in the industry it would help greatly.

    1. Chad,

As someone who is new. You are going to get stuck at some point. You need to have a chat or live support to help you through at that moment or it will be very frustrating. A free trial would be perfect, All though they do offer free youtube videos. So you will kind of know what is being offered at their course.

  6. Great review on Source Wave.

So what you are saying in your review is that beginners should start with Wealthy Affiliate and then move onto Source Wave once more advanced. Do the strategies that they teach in Source Wave allow the user to keep the sites he has set up with Wealthy Affiliate still hosted there or will he have to move them?

    1. Michel,

That is not what I was trying to say. I find wealthy Affiliate to be very beneficial for every skill level with the amount of content and extra training. Plus a huge community for feedback. I think every skill level can appreciate that. With source wave, I think if you already have some base knowledge you would excel and be very proficient with their platform. I believe you will have to move your hosting site.

  7. I had looked into joining Source Wave because it sounded like a great program, plus I found it quite amusing, the way Alex Beck acts within some of his videos.

I think some of the training can be a benefit to people but the only 3 things that put me off Source Wave were the fact that it uses Private Blog Networks (which Google frowns upon), some of the tools are inactive, and even some of the training is outdated.

If you want online success, you need access to resources you need, and they must be effective in today’s internet marketing world.

    Thanks for the review.
